MFA2010 - english announce
Добавлено: 07 авг 2010, 12:15
While I'm dead sure no one from you guys will bother to attend (it's an extremely short notice this year and one should be afraid of Russian weather this summer =)), I still can use this thread to post results later, right? =)
Moscow Fighting Arena is Russian annual fighting championship since 2004. Moscow Fighting Arena 2010 (MFA10) will take place in Moscow (duh) on August 28th-29th. The venue is the same as last two years - biggest Moscow electronics mall 'Gorbushkin Dvor'.
Event schedule (possibly a subject to small changes):
Saturday, August 28th:
11-00 - MFA is open, registration starts (*)
12-00 - Tekken 6 3v3 (PAL PS3)
14-00 - Guitar Hero 5 1v1 (PAL PS3)
16-00 - Tekken 6 1v1 (PAL PS3), Super Street Fighter IV 3v3 (PAL PS3)
18-00 - Virtua FIghter 5 1v1 (PAL PS3) (**)
20-00 - day one awards ceremony
Sunday, August 29th:
11-00 - registration starts (*)
12-00 - Guilty Gear XX Accent Core 3v3 (US NTSC PS2)
14-00 - Final Fantasy Dissidia 1v1 (PAL PSP)
16-00 - SoulCalibur IV 3v3 (PAL PS3), Blaz Blue Continuum Shift 1v1 (?? PS3) (**)
20-00 - day two awards ceremony, MFA officially over.
Monday, August 30th
10-00 - 22-00 - Guilty Gear afterparty at the cottage near Moscow (***), featuring GG 1v1 tourney, challenges to SBO2010-qualified Russian team (Goga, RoBoBOBR, OverKilL.), moneymatches and tons of fun.
(*) - This is when registration starts. registration for each tourney is closed 15 minutes prior tourney start.
(**) - VF5 and BB and other minor tourneys will be run if there'll be at least 16 attendants.
(***) - Due to possible venue issues and weather forecasts, there is a possibility that afterparty will be cancelled and the GG 1v1 tourney will be moved to Sunday. This will be announced no later then August 18th.
Venue and expected attendance:
The venue is a big mall; it opens on 10-00 and closes on 21-00. It is not possibly to sleep at venue (but you can be dead sure that there will be persons glad to host you at their place and we will gladly help you with the hotel booking should you need one - hosting is really not a problem).
Last year there were about 300 people attending MFA. This year I _expect_ turnouts like this: T6 - 80-90 players, GG - 50-70 players, SSF - 30-50 players, SC 30-40 players.
We'll have about 16 TVs (which will be lagless CRT) at the main venue. 4-8 of them will be freeplay-dedicated.
Registration fees and prizes
Most players will pay 200rur per tourney (~5 euros). But for all players from outside of the ex-USSR registration for all events is free.
2\3 of fees go directly to prize pot.
Top4 of each tourney get a cool diploma (one per person). Top3 for each 3v3 tourney gets an awesome cup (one per team).
There is a possibility that there will be additional prizes from out partners. TBA.
Please don't hesitate to ask any question and ask for support should you decide to attend =) You can use this thread or thread at our forums or mail me at biologin001 [at] gmail.com
Cheers
