The biggest French tournament is back this year for his 5 years !

The Stunfest tournament will take place during the 09th and 10th of May, 2009.
Location : "Espace des Deux Rives" 4 Allée Georges Palantes , RENNES, Western France.

Entry Fee: 3€ a day, 5€ the Week-End

The 08th will be reserved for VIP/gamers and foreigners.
Sleeping at the venue is possible on Friday and Saturday night.

-Street Fighter 4 1on1 [360]
-Street Fighter III Third Strike 3on3 [PS2]
-Guilty Gear XX Accent Core 3on3 [PS2]
-Capcom Vs SNK 2 1on1 (Ichigeki) [PS2]
-Street Fighter 2 HD [360]
-The King of Fighters 2002 UM 1on1 [PS2]
-Soul Calibur IV 1on1 [360]
-Tatsunoko VS Capcom 1on1 [Wii]
-Smash Bros Brawl 1on1 [Wii]

Tougeki 09 European Qualification :

-Street Fighter 4 2on2

The association AH2R will present the Ichigeki 2009 with US/Japanese players participation.

Unfortunately money is not the only problem. Open Visa for France, probably be harder than earn a ticket there.

Is it that bad? Dunno for Ukraine, but for Russia (last time I checked) France visa was no harder to get then most EU country visas. Definitely easier that Germany, for example.

I'll dig up some info on travel costs and visas and post here in a week or so.

For Ukraine it's kinda harder. Trust me.
Especially if you hawen't any strong social garanty.
This is due partly to illegal emigration (i think).
Anyway I maybe try this year. Maybe....

Camoo is it possible to connect adapters so i can play PS2/3 pad?
If yes, does Xbox-PS2/3 adapters lag?
Last time i tried though PS2 pad lagged via adapter on XBox (though it worked pefectly on PS3). sorry for bothering u with this but its something that will decide me going to this event or not.

IMPORTANT :

We have to know where the Guilty Gear players would like the SBO qualifiers to be : at the Stunfest (France, may 9-10) or at the showdown 4 (Sweden, 10-12 April)

Apparently there is no good solution at the moment for PS2/3 adapter for Xbox. We had to make the tournament with one console, we chose XBOX since most players will use this one.

If a technical solution comes out untill there, we'll tell everyone (if you find one, please tell us !)

I'm sorry for this, I know it will be a problem for many players, but we can't deal with this for now.

Russian players will vote for Sweden by default. it is much easier to get there for us.

Judging by my limited knowledge of current Russian GG scene, should SBO qualifiers be at France, there will be 0-1 Russian team. Should SBO qualifiers take place in Sweden, there will be like 2 or 3 (maybe up to 4, but that's unlikely) teams.

From my observations throughout the years it doesnt matter where SBO qualifiers will be, russian GG players are only good at making travel plans not actually travelling. I've yet to see a single one of them travel anywhere (even though countries like Finland, Sweden or Poland are 1 day train ride away), and I assure you theres just no way they'll travel to japan if they win. (And we are talking about a team of 3 people here which is right next to impossible.)

You know pretty well what I have posted in Russian version of this thread. You know that I'm VERY sceptical about their actual ability to travel to international tourney. They are just extremely passive about this.

But you also should know that there were only 2 (two) GG tourneys in Europe that worth visiting for like last 3 years... one at France and one at Finland (and maybe another one in Sweden). There were no notable GG events at Poland at all.

So even me, with all this sceptical attitude, is open to giving them another try, which is more likely to succeed should the event take place in Sweden. I think - or, rather, I hope - that there will be two Russian GG teams should this event take place in Sweden.
