←+A,↘ - Whirlwind Blade ~ Calm Feet -
↙+B,↘ - Pommel Drop ~ Calm Feet -
_from Calm Feet: C - Circular Kick - подсечка
__from Circular Kick: A - Mighty Storm: Sky-Tearing Slash - удар мечом по верху
A,R / ↓+A,R / ←+A,A,R / →+A,B,R / →+B,C,R - выход из различных обычных атак на Hiding Moon (телепорт за спину противника - теперь он не может использоваться как отдельный прием)
↓↘→+A,AB,A,A,A - Flashing Scenery of Flowers, Stream and Moon = [телепорт за спину+удар] x5 раз подряд
↓↘→+B - Rising Moon Blade -

It is such a huge disappointment, and this is coming from a huge fan of the series since SamSho2.
My main beef is that it doesn't control anything like the 2d games, and a lot of moves require motions that you'd expect in Virtual Fighter or Tekken. Seems like they are just trying to cash in on the latest 3d fighter craze. After around 20 mins and having playing through the game twice for 100yen each game, I just got up, mid play, and walked away in disgust.
Pros:
- Lots of cool new characters, like the cowboy gunslinger and afro samurai lookalike
- Awesome presentation -- the characters, environments and graphics look on par with the latest Tekken, if not better than the latest VF
- Great cinematics -- each battle has an intro cinematic sequence
- Very cool "dark and fore brooding" atmosphere for this game
- LOTS of moves only available for the first time in the series in this game
- Before each intro sequence you are *very briefly* shown how to do new attacks
Cons:
- NONE of the controls for moves carry over from any of the previous games, aside from the rapid button press hit attacks like Jubei and Charlotte (I think) -- but going from 2d to 3d, what can you expect?
- Lots of the defeats are cookie cutter 3d palette swaps almost -- you'll see 3 male characters clutching their arms using the same animation when defeated
- No fireball-esque projectile attacks that traveled across the screen in the previous games, except for weapons like ninja stars and bullets. Where a character should throw a fireball, they simply charge up and give their attack the "element of nature" that the character is associated with, from the previous games: (fire, electricity, water, ice, etc)
- LOTS of the old attacks have been over simplified (Hanzo's Mozu Otoshi is only 1 direction and 2 buttons, for example)
- SOME original character moves have been removed (that or I haven't figured out how to do them yet)
- Personal peeve: Poppy isn't on screen nor is she playable when using Galford
- Personal peeve: I couldn't get any beheading-type fatalities, but it may have been blocked here in Japan, as they were with a few other games in the series.
And the list goes on, but like I said, I only played for 20 mins, so I'm sure if I play again there be more to add to both lists.
The game center that this is at is at the next station from where I live. If you guys want screen shots of this abomination, let me know and I'll post them.

(intro 2)
(1 game Genjuro)
No one else was playing this, and I was on this game for an hour this time. There was one machine with this on it and about 10+ with Tekken or Virtual Fighter that everyone else was playing.
Correction to my previous post, you can air juggle continuously, Hanzo's Mozu Otoshi is classified as a regular throw and is just C+R in close range, no other movements required)
This would be a great game, IF at least some of the character moves (or even the motion of the moves) carried over from the last games, and IF it were true to the series.
From the looks and play of it, it's just a new 3d fighter featuring a few of the main characters from original Samurai Shodown.
I'm trying to find a little positive insight about this game, especially considering that I had some really high hopes, but besides the new 3d approach, there's nothing really promising about it.
.......................................
Well, it's out as a "New" game, but sadly, there is only one machine at every other major arcade here. The one I played in Akihabara was at Club Sega, which is the most popular arcade in East Tokyo (and yes, there was only one machine there.)
The location tests are over, but there just isn't any interest in this game up against the likes of Tekken and Virtual Fighter. This new 3d fighter just doesn't have enough *umph* to be a promising competitor, as I said, it's like they were just using the "Samurai Spirits" name to promote it. (Like how Final Fantasy: Spirits Within did)
That's my only explanation for why there isn't any additional coverage of the game, and then as a die hard fan, I'm not overly pleased with it myself.

Plays like a PS1-era 3D fighting game. Really spazzy, not tight in the least like an SS game is supposed to be. I liked a lot of the character designs, and the presentation was actually pretty cool...but the gameplay is just supermeh. Sorry y'all.
Lyte Edge писал(а): This game stinks, guys. I was all over it when it first came out last year, but it just sucks. I expected something like Soul Calibur and the classic SS games combined, and had faith in the developer (K2, who has staff that worked on SS1 and SS2 and also did the PS2-era Tenchu games), but it turned out to be a stiff-playing 3D fighter that looks nice, but feels like a polygon game right out of 1995. And that is NOT a good thing.
I'll say this again, though. The game has great presentation and audio. It's just too bad it plays like crap.
1995-style stiff movement and preset canned combos
.......
Seriously, I can't stress enough how great the game looks, then you play it and it feels like something that was released 14 years ago. Soul Edge (as in the original) plays better than this game does.
Get the SS Anthology, enjoyed SS1-6, and forget Sen even exists. It's SS Warriors Rage PSOne level BAD; Regulation A this is NOT.
jeff bogard писал(а): I haven't heard good reviews from ng.com members who have played this game before. and quite honestly even looking at some battles it doesn't look very solid to me. I think the game would have been better had it borrowed more from soul calibur.
Other than that, it was a pretty disappointing E3 for fighters. I was expecting something new like a new game from Arc system works, Us release for 2k2 UM, or nest saga, anything. We all knew what games were gonna be shown and expected a few surprises, but no surprises came.
Paiku писал(а): Yup, I don't see why people go excited.
It doesn't look or feel anything like a good samsho game.
First thought was.... KoF Maximum Impact once again
Mad Mage писал(а): I played it the one time I found it in an arcade. Like everyone's saying, despite being somewhat pretty, there's no reason for this game to exist. Since then I have yet to see the game in ANY Japanese arcade. At least maximum impact sort of took advantage of the 3D. This game feels like a step backwards in every direction.
RBjakeSpecial писал(а): I played this in the arcade when it was released and thought it was terrible. I'm willing to give it another shot on console, too bad it's Xbox360 exclusive. I think I'll be sticking to SSZspecial for my Samurai fix for the rest of my life.
It was cool to hear Shane Bettenhausen's voice in the preview trailer. He made me want to check out the game again by comparing it to Bushido Blade.
ORPHEUS писал(а): Who's bright idea was it to present this game as "Sam Sho sim". The darkness, lack of color & life & overall aesthetic is terrible & never what the series has been about. Christ, it looks like the Gran Tourismo of the SS family.
To make matters worse (& as previously) stated this game looks like it plays more like Toshinden that Soul Calibur meets Sam Sho. I await this w/ complete, warranted, skepticism....character select screen sure is pretty though.

An Xbox 360 port will be released December 10, 2009 and will allow Golba and Draco to be playable.
